Potato Schoutel

My kiddz tried the free sample at costco couple days ago, and sarah so excited 'bout this food. actually this is exactly like Mac & Cheese, just use potato slice instead of macaroni elbow. So.. i made the cheese sauce and pour it onto potato (previously boiled) slice, broccoli, sausage slice.. and.. bake! wait until 20 min .. and.. comes Potato Schoutel.. :)
Ingredients :
potato, boiled, and slice 0.5cm thick
broccoli, blanched
sausage, boiled for 15min, and slice
White Sauce :
butter
onion, chop
All Purpose Flour
milk
cheddar cheese (sharp)
mozzarella (for drizzle on top)
Heat the butter on the pan, saute the onion.
Add the flour, stir for couple second.
Add the milk (u can combine with whipping cream), stir , and cook until shimmer.
Add the cheese and stir again till well combine.
Assembly :
Put the potato in a pile into your baking dish.
Add the sausage on the potato, and follow with the broccoli.
Give another layer of potato on top, and pour the sauce over the all ingredients.
Stir together just until the sauce blend with the ingredients.
Drizzle with mozzarella on top.
Bake on 350F for 20 minute.
