Singkong Bumbu Kuning



Wooww!!! that's d first word when i taste this food!!... darn it was goooddd!! the ingredients r sooo simple.. and so easy to make.. and so cheap too! ...

spice :
garlic
coriander
salt
pinch of turmeric
water

bring water to boil, add with all ingredients.
add the cassava, cook until tender.
let them cool and the water absorbed by the cassava.
fried the cassava.

Sambel Tempe



Indonesia has many interpretation 'bout this meal, some other places (province) has almost the same with this sambel tempe but use different name. I use the one that my mom always and use to made.

ingredients:
tempe
garlics
red chilli pepper
salt pepper


Fried the tempe, cook until golden.
Remove from the pan, and break the tempe into peaces. Set aside.
Process the garlics, red chilli pepper and salt pepper into the Food Processor.
Heat the oil in a pan, saute the spices until fragrant.
Add the tempe pieces, cook all together.

Sate Daging Bumbu Rujak - Spicy Beef Satay - حار ساتيه لحم



My mom own this recipe from her mother... or... mm.. her grandmother... dunno for sure :)
it just always bcome our family favorite meal since the beginning. Weather u use stick or not, still delicious when u eat with hot rice.


ingredients:
beef meat, medium dice cut.
coconut milk santan
bay leaves salam
galangal, crushed laos

In Food Processor :
garlics
shallots
red chilli pepper
candlenuts kemiri
tamarind asem
dried shrimp paste terasi
salt pepper garam merica

Heat the oil in a pan, saute the spices that already smooth in Food Processor.
Add galangal & bay leaves, cook until fragrant.
Add the beef, coconut milk, and salt pepper. Cook all together until beef bcome tender and the coconut milk dried up.
arrange dice meat into the satay sticks.
and Grill it!

Halal Dimsum - خافت المبلغ حلال - Chicken Quail Fried Shumai



This kind of "Ekkado looks alike" is my recipe, inspire from the book about Dimsum. Actually, compare with the original recipe in d book, i use different ingredients.


Ingredients:
½ chicken breast, cut cubes
1 big carrot, diced
½ small can mushroom, diced
3 garlic, chop
1 medium onion, chop
grenn onion
salt pepper
chicken oil
sesame oil (1 Tbsp)
soy sauce (kecap asin)
1 Tbsp Tapioca Flour, stir into 2 Tbsp water/chicken stock)

Heat the pan, add the chicken oil & sesame oil.
saute the garlic & onion until fragrant.
Add the chicken, cook until change colour.
Add the carrot, mushroom, and green onion.
Add the salt pepper, soy sauce. Cook all together.
Add the flour+water, cook for couple minutes more. This tapioca batter will use as a glue for all d ingredients not to fall apart.

Other ingredients:
wonton wrapper.
Quail egg
green onion, the leaves, cut bcome like a rope.

Assembly:
Put the wonton wrapper onto your palm, put ½ slice of egg on the bottom.
Put the chicken on top, then wrap it.
Tie the ekkado with green onion leaves.
Deep fried them.


Halal Dimsum - خافت المبلغ حلال - Shrimp Hakau



It's been many years since i moved to Hawaii i never eat dimsum again. Well.. i hadn't been found the Halal one there. Soo.. it bcome my biiigg obsession to make Halal Dimsum so i can enjoy without worried (about the halal thing), hehehehe..
Thanks to NCC for sharing this yummy recipe and the video making is sooo helpful !! For all my friends who wants to learn How To Make Halal Hakau... u are so pleased to copy this recipe or just hit the video..

I made 2 kind of Hakau which are Shrimp Hakau and Fish Shumai.

Shrimp Hakau Recipe

For the filling:
300 gr peeled shrimp
1 Tbsp Tapioca Flour
salt pepper
sugar
chicken powder
1 Tbsp sesame oil

Method:
Mix all the ingredients (except the oil) into the bowl. Stir well.
Add the sesame oil to eliminate the stink from the shrimp. Set aside.

The wrapper:
150 gr Tang Mien Flour
50 gr Tapioca Flour
2 Tbsp Veg oil
250 ml hot boiled water

Method:
Put Tang Mien flour and Tapioca into the bowl, mix them well.
Pour the hot water that already mixed with the oil.
Mix all together.
Let the dough to sit about 15minutes covered up with dry towel.
After the dough bcome cold, knead the dough.
Take 1 small part of the dough, roll it until get thin and round dough.
Put the rolled dough onto your palm, fill with the shrimp, and twist it.

Shumai Recipe

Ingredients:
250 gr Tenggiri fish fillet
1 green onion, thin slice
3 garlic, chop
1 Tbsp sesame oil
1 Tbsp Oyster sauce
1 Tbsp Soy sauce
salt pepper
1 egg
Tapioca Flour (didn't know the measurment)


Mix all ingredients together.
Wrap it into wonton wrapper.
Steam them until cooked.
