Halal Dimsum - خافت المبلغ حلال - Shrimp Hakau



It's been many years since i moved to Hawaii i never eat dimsum again. Well.. i hadn't been found the Halal one there. Soo.. it bcome my biiigg obsession to make Halal Dimsum so i can enjoy without worried (about the halal thing), hehehehe..
Thanks to NCC for sharing this yummy recipe and the video making is sooo helpful !! For all my friends who wants to learn How To Make Halal Hakau... u are so pleased to copy this recipe or just hit the video..

I made 2 kind of Hakau which are Shrimp Hakau and Fish Shumai.

Shrimp Hakau Recipe

For the filling:
300 gr peeled shrimp
1 Tbsp Tapioca Flour
salt pepper
sugar
chicken powder
1 Tbsp sesame oil

Method:
Mix all the ingredients (except the oil) into the bowl. Stir well.
Add the sesame oil to eliminate the stink from the shrimp. Set aside.

The wrapper:
150 gr Tang Mien Flour
50 gr Tapioca Flour
2 Tbsp Veg oil
250 ml hot boiled water

Method:
Put Tang Mien flour and Tapioca into the bowl, mix them well.
Pour the hot water that already mixed with the oil.
Mix all together.
Let the dough to sit about 15minutes covered up with dry towel.
After the dough bcome cold, knead the dough.
Take 1 small part of the dough, roll it until get thin and round dough.
Put the rolled dough onto your palm, fill with the shrimp, and twist it.

Shumai Recipe

Ingredients:
250 gr Tenggiri fish fillet
1 green onion, thin slice
3 garlic, chop
1 Tbsp sesame oil
1 Tbsp Oyster sauce
1 Tbsp Soy sauce
salt pepper
1 egg
Tapioca Flour (didn't know the measurment)


Mix all ingredients together.
Wrap it into wonton wrapper.
Steam them until cooked.
